WSPA Enews: bears, gifts, WSPA News, meet our intern

WSPA ENEWS

IN THIS ISSUE:

Celebrating a better future for India's bears

Celebrating a better future for India's bearsWe are so pleased to be able to announce that India has launched a national bear welfare and conservation plan to help prevent cruelty to bears and protect vulnerable wild populations. The strategy will also prevent the re-emergence of the brutal practice of bear dancing.

This announcement completes 17 years of WSPA's bear protection work in India. We are also proud to note that our part in ending the cruelty of bear dancing was recognized by the Indian government. None of this would be possible without your support.

You'll go hog wild for these gifts

You'll go hog wild for these giftsGet jiggy with it? No, get piggy with it this holiday season and buy a gift that shows your loved ones that you care about animal welfare.

Squeal for joy:

$40 would help WSPA raise awareness about the awful truth surrounding high intensity farming and help us urge governments to create laws that protect pigs and other farm animals by providing better conditions for a more dignified life.

Gifts so great you'll want to hog them for yourself. Visit Reallywildgifts.ca

Meet a WSPA Canada intern

Have you seen this face before? You might have bumped into her on the street or had a great conversation over the phone about animal welfare. Her name is Liz and she works for WSPA's amazing street canvassing partner, Public Outreach.

Meet a WSPA Canada internLiz is also currently doing an internship in WSPA's Supporter Operations department. Through the internship program, Liz has spent a lot of time getting to know our supporters, so we thought that it would be nice to spend some time getting to know her. Here is what she had to say about working with WSPA...
